Hi everyone. I found that this was an interesting article that included a nice clean table with some facts province to province around evictions, etc. As we all know, this will continue to evolve but hopefully some will find it useful:

New Evictions Rules. No evictions in April - but there are no free rides! Tenants are still responsible for all terms in their leases including full payment o...f rent due. We are not obligated to provide abatements or forgiveness. There are lots of government programs available for rent relief, so if tenants 'need a break' that is where they should be going. If tenants breach the payment plans we make with them we can evict as per usual after April. Key messaging for tenants: They are not getting away without payment, the rules are here to push landlords to the table to negotiate with tenants. See more

COVID-19 - Are you worried about the spread of COVID-19? The best thing to do is stay home and work on preparing your paperwork for tax season. Also, get caught up on your bookkeeping. This will reduce your chance of spreading any virus and eliminate stress by staying on top of your paperwork. This has been a public service announcement by Kim Franz Bookkeeping.
