Dear Kimmapii Community, Another year has come and gone. To say the least, it has been a strange year. The number of shamanic opportunities presented to us have been tremendous. It is probable that you have experienced the same. We hope that through it all you have found time to find peace in nature, time to enjoy the simple things life has to offer and time to be truly grateful for what you have. Most importantly, we sincerely hope that a candle remains in your window ...to shine as a beacon to those who feel lost. From the look of things, we are all going to see continuing opportunities to be of service in the upcoming year. We encourage each of you to offer up that tiny ray of hope, that place of respite for all those in need. From the two of us, we wish you peace and love in this holiday season. With Love, Marv & Sam

We are a community of Spiritually minded friends, who share a common interest in Kimmapii School of Shamanism. We are friends, graduates and students of Kimmapii. It's a forum for us to keep in touch, learn of coming events and to share ideas. We are an extended family. We're here to support, encourage and inspire one another. We realize that we're missing some names from our community. So let's reach out to those members and help them to find their way here. ... Welcome Friends!

Went on a mountain hike today and sat by this peaceful, crystal - clear stream. It was so calming to hear it laugh its way over the rocks! May it wash away your stress - just as it did for us! MnS

A Light in The Dark It seems there is no clear end in sight as the covid pandemic continues. The effect on people around the world has been heart-wrenching. Depression, stress related illnesses, anxiety. People wondering how to make ends meet. Unemployment, mounting debt, protest marches, the list goes on and on. Life as we knew it has changed dramatically. As Shaman, our job is to help people cope with a world that feels strange, unstable and at times even predatory.... As I ponder this situation, my mind goes back to when I was young growing up on a little ranch in south-west Alberta. The population was sparse, with many miles between dwellings. We did not have electricity, or paved roads or streetlights to help us find our way at night. Landmarks were not visible in the dark. Travelers in this wide expanse of prairie, however, had one landmark on which to orient: a little Catholic mission church had been built on a prominent hilltop. It was visible for many miles by day. But by night, it was visible even farther. Because every night, the priest in charge of the church (without fail) would climb high up inside the steeple and light a large lantern that would burn all night - a beacon for all who needed help, hope and guidance. This light guided rich and poor, Catholic, Protestant every faith and ethnicity who crossed those endless prairies. A simple, single light provided hope, comfort and guidance. We are asking the Kimmapii Community to join us in placing a light for all those in need. On the night of 13 October 2020 at 8:00pm MDT, regardless of where you live, we ask all of you to shut off the electric lights in your home, then light a single candle and place it in a window of your house where it can be seen from the street or road or country, as the case may be. Set your intent that the light reach all of those in need: rich, poor: old: young: every ethnicity, every denomination. Let the candle be your light of kindness. We would also like to share this initiative beyond our community. So if you would, please invite people. Share it with your friends and family. Together, let’s reinstall the energy of hope, comfort and guidance to all those in need, with our ‘candles in the window’.
