The Capitol Theatre wants to thank their members and individual donors for the ongoing support during this challenging time. More than ever, donations are vital...ly important to sustaining the theatre's operations and the work being done to ensure our ability to raise the curtain again as soon as it is safe. There are several ways to support the Capitol Theatre financially. If you don't know which option is best for you, please contact us at 905-885-9060 x206 and we'll work with you to determine the best way to contribute. Please consider giving a gift of any amount. The impact of individual donors cannot be overstated. Donate today by visiting https://capitoltheatre.com/donations-page-2/ THANK YOU!
The Board of Directors of the Port Hope & District Agricultural Society wishes to advise that the 2021 Port Hope Fair on September 17th, 18th and 19th has been cancelled. While it was a very difficult decision to make for a second year, these are uncertain times and we feel it is in the best interest of everyone involved that we do everything possible to help ensure the health and safety of our community and everyone that would normally be at our Fair. We thank everyone for their support and spirit we experience each year and we look forward to another great year in 2022.

How can we thank you enough. This incredible structure, seeped in Canadian history will not be silenced, thanks to all who feel it’s energy and believe in its i...mportance to the community. Thanks today to Anna, Bruce, Paul and Libby, Selena, Andrea, Judy and Don, Heather Anne, Jennifer, Albert, Ginny , Deane and Mandy. Also thanks to the amazing Bruce Longman, one the most talented musicians I have ever heard. He has offered to play a fundraising concert on the lawn of the church when the time is right. And to everyone’s favourite charcuterie board artist, Sean Carthew... he’s making an appetizer board to raffle off that you’ll want at ever party, you ever hold. Stay tuned ... this awesome little community landmark is going in for surgery and is going to come back stronger than ever.... thanks to your love and support. See more

Not much has changed in the last 75 years for one of Port Hope's most recognizable landmarks! Built in 1946 and having undergone a few location changes and pain...t jobs, the Memorial Park Bandshell is still regularly used as a community gathering place, hosting many concerts and entertainment acts. #PortHope See more
