A message from The Alzheimer Society Grey-Bruce: We're doubling down on the phones and we've fired up Zoom. The Alzheimer Society Grey-Bruce is offering all of the services and programs we normally do, sometimes with a new twist. If you're a client and would like to consider services that you aren't currently using, please reach out to us! Follow along daily as we give you a fuller description of each of our services. We're bridging the gap between Social Distancing and Social Isolation. #OurConnectionsMatter

SOCIAL DISTANCING
For travellers arriving home to Canada: SELF-ISOLATE FOR 14 DAYS AFTER YOUR RETURN TO CANADA. Self-isolation means: ... Stay home and keep your distance from others. DO NOT have visitors, especially older adults, or those with medical conditions who are at a higher risk of developing serious illness. Have a friend or loved one pick up medications and groceries for you. Alternatively, most pharmacies will deliver to your home and many grocery stores offer "click and collect" where you can order groceries online and pick them up at the store. Monitor your health for cough, fever or difficulty breathing. Wash your hands often with soap and warm water for 20 seconds, or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available. Cover your mouth and nose with your arm when coughing or sneezing.
Please see information regarding the COVID-19 assessment centre located beside the Kincardine Hospital. If you are unsure about whether or not you should be screened, please use the self-assessment tool included in the link. https://www.sbghc.on.ca/coronavirus/assessment-centres
As our current situation continues to change rapidly, our top priority remains the health, safety, and well-being of our communities. At this time we will be cancelling the OHT Symposium that was scheduled for March 24, 2020. This event will be rescheduled after the pandemic has ended. Our hope is for everyone to stay safe and healthy!

Please be advised, when attending the Medical Clinic some staff will be dressed in Personal Protective Equipment. This may include: gown, gloves, face-shield and mask. These steps are being taken as a precaution for patient and staff well-being.
Attention! "The Ontario government is introducing new protections this week for workers who are required to take unpaid leave during self-isolation or quarantine periods; including removing a requirement to obtain doctors’ notes"
