After a year into the pandemic, Kindertown had it's first encounter with COVID-19, an experience that was initially filled with anxiety, stress and fear . K-Town Book Club This is quickly becoming a favourite at Kindertown, and serves as a wonderful reference when discussing and managing the many emotions that run through our classroom each and every day "In My Heart: A Book of Feelings" by Jo Witek... The most recent provincial response to COVID-19 is having an unfortunate consequence for many of our K-Town families, friends and local communities. These measures are coming at a time when small businesses are preparing for a busy holiday season, which typically helps them during the slow months of the new year. During our 28 years in operation, Kindertown has been home to many small business owners, entrepreneurs and hobbyists that have contributed their expertise, talents... and wisdom to the cultural fabric of our centre. On many occasions, families have donated products, goods and materials to help enhance our children’s learning experiences or add a special element to our annual family events. By reimagining ‘The Kindertown Marketplace’, our hope is that we can help our families and friends, both old and new, through this difficult time. On Facebook, The Kindertown Marketplace will be a virtual space where you can share your services, products and goods with one another. On Instagram, every time you post the #KtownLocal hashtag, we will share it and encourage our friends to do the same.
