I love sharing helpful information. A recent study found that yoga was helpful in managing pain associated with metastatic breast cancer. While the study was small, and more research is needed, it’s definitely hopeful news. The study was published in the Journal of Pain and Symptom Management (14 October 2020).... Maintaining the capacity to perform activities of daily living is an important aspect of healthy aging. A study of women in their mid to late 60s found that those that practiced yoga regularly had greater range of motion of shoulder abduction, horizontal shoulder extension, lumbar spine flexion, hip extension and flexion, and knee flexion. Although the study was small, it does suggest that a regular yoga practice may increase range of motion of these key areas, and enhanc...e capacity to perform activities of daily living.
