Our hearts go out to the Mayo family. We are devastated to hear the news of fellow Kin member Kristal. Holding Dustin and Kourtlynn in our thoughts and prayers. Kristal leaves behind a truly inspiring legacy, we feel honoured to have known her and call her our friend. Happy to meet, sorry to part

Last night Kin Kelly hosted our Christmas social. It’s safe to say much fun was had by all! We also welcomed a new member into the club, President Kathy’s daughter, Ali! Also a blast from the past Kin Carol will be rejoining! And another new member Charity will be coming in the New Year. 3 amazing additions! We are a sisterhood together, and together we can make a difference (Missing from the photo is Kin Cindy W. who did attend but conveniently slipped out before photos were taken )

For the past several years the Duncan Kinettes has showed their appreciation and support with a BBQ during Nurses Week. The last few years we were joined by Save On Foods. Although we are unable to be there this year we'd like to recognize them and thank them for their service.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS & THANK YOU from the CMHA-Cowichan Valley Branch Many in the Cowichan Valley are struggling to cope with mental health issues, substance use diso...rders and homelessness. While the CMHA-Cowichan Valley Branch works on the front lines with many of those who are suffering, there are many groups in the region that remind us on a daily basis that we have much to be thankful for. As 2019 draws to a close, we would like to acknowledge and thank the various groups in our community that have stepped up to help. There are too many individuals to provide a comprehensive (and readable) list, and we need to protect the privacy of individual donors. That said, you know who you are what you have done and please know that we are thankful for your support. In addition to thanking our funders - The Province of British Columbia, The BC Housing Authority, Vancouver Island Health Authority, CMHA BC Division, Canadian Women's Foundation, Children's Health Foundation, BC Technology Learning Society, BC Centre for Disease Control and the Victoria Foundation - we thank the following businesses, community groups and organizations (in no particular order) that have supported our work. This list is likely incomplete and if we missed you, we do apologize. We are truly grateful for everyone's support, financial or otherwise. If you would like to support us with a donation in 2019, please click on the link below to our secure donation page. All donations over $20 will receive a tax receipt. https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/4857 Thank you for helping us to help others.

We are taking every precaution we can as a club and have decided it’s best to postpone our ALS Fundraiser April 5th. We are hoping to reschedule for June. Stay healthy everyone.
