Did a virtual half marathon on Saturday organized by #thesocialdistancingrun. My initial goal was to finish under 2 hours so I'm happy I was able to do that. My plan called for 12 miles as part of my #marathon prep so I decided to just add on the 1.1 miles. It looks like my marathon is cancelled but they will have a virtual marathon option so training is still on for that. This week mileage will decrease slightly to drop off some fatigue and ramp back up next week. Really loving balancing my passion for weight lifting with running. As long as you train smart and eat enough, there's no reason why you can't have a muscular physique and run long distance. Of course, you'll be a master of none but that was never my goal. #flexibledieting #macros #iifym #ymm #fortmac #marathontraining #halfmarathon

Today's long run. This is my furthest run yet and it didn't feel too bad. I tried to slow my pace a little as I wanted to run the whole distance without any walk breaks. It's crazy how even just a few seconds slower per mile can make the run seem much more manageable. Today's medium run. Anything over 3 miles and I try and slow my pace a little. Running in the 8min/mile range is more sustainable for my level of aerobic conditioning. I ran two fast on my first two miles and I definitely felt it in the final stretch of the run. Today is also a push day for me. Making this the most taxing training day of the week for me.
