https://bit.ly/33nwuyM The ear mite, Otodectes cynotis, is a surface mite that lives on cats, dogs, rabbits, and ferrets. It is usually found in the ear canal but it can also live on the skin surface. Ear mites are highly contagious, and animals become infested by direct contact with another infested animal. The clinical signs for ear mites in your pet are: ... - Ear irritation, leading to scratching at the ears or head shaking - A dark waxy or crusty discharge from the ear - Areas of hair loss resulting from self-trauma caused by the dog’s scratching or excessive grooming - A crusted rash around or in the ear - An aural hematoma #KingGeorgeVeterinaryHospital #EducationalArticles #EarMites #Canines #Felines

Before and after! This beautiful girls name is Dancer, she's a senior Ragdoll whose very dense coat has gotten a little out of control over the winter So she came in for a spring "spa treatment" aka a lioncut haircut, we could tell she felt lighter and more comfortable afterwards - she lost a whole 200g of hair weight!

When Uncle Luke puts his shoes on in the morning, our girl Tilly takes it as her cuddle time with Dad. Since gaining two younger sisters recently, they’ve incre...asingly crept in on Till’s cuddle time. Don’t worry, Luke is always conscious to give Tilly her special undivided attention and Till reply enjoys turning around and making sure her sisters are watching who’s getting cuddles! The bus arrives and all the doggies run to greet them. Cutie Pie is especially excited to hop on that bus and see everyone now. We welcomed to the pack today, Rosie the Beaglier and Dollar the Golden Retriever. Both were happy and excited to find themselves at the farm today and had a wonderful time meeting everyone and watching all the activities unfold, plus there was pizza!! Today we celebrated Lola the Labrador’s 2nd birthday. Lola was excited to hear her name called out, knowing it was her special day at the farm today! She also very much enjoyed her chicken cake and shared some with all her mates! Happiest of birthdays to you Lola!! Happy Friday everyone, we hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Rescue is often a gift that keeps on giving In Luna’s case, she thought that she’d give back by providing us this gorgeous litter. Unfortunately it was too l...ate and unsafe to have done an emergency spay. Some of her sons and daughters are still available for adoption. Born in care these little ones are full of love and affection! Please contact [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) or visit our [Petfinder](https://www.petfinder.com/search/pets-for-adoption/) page for more information, or adoption details.

Did you know that rats can make excellent companion animals? They're smart and can be very social! Paul (pictured here in his favorite hammock) loves to spend t...ime with his foster family and waits eagerly for them at the cage door each morning. His favourite activities include fishing for frozen peas, exploring new places and, of course, snuggles! Read more about rat care on our website! https://spca.bc.ca/faqs/caring-for-rats/ Paul and his two equally adorable brothers are available for adoption now at the Surrey BC SPCA.
