Hello everyone ! Hope you're all doing well ! So far it looks like i (and most rmt's) will be returning to work as of mid June, For the next phase ! :) Rest assured the guidelines from NLMTA and Public Health Authority will be followed at all times.... This will include reducing the total number of patients seen per day in order to allow proper sanitation of the clinic and treatment area. Personal protective equipment will also be used in accordance to the existing guidelines. At this time bookings will be accepted only by existing patients. Effective immediately as of today, March 19 2020, I will be closing the clinic under the recommendation of the minister of health and safety of Newfoundland, as well for liability purposes to ensure protection of both my clients and myself. I personally will be practicing the 2 week Isolation/quarantine/ social distancing in anticipation of partially re-opening the Clinic to clients that have also followed the same practice of the 2 week Quarantine. I anticipate on re-opening... as of April 2nd, but will update on April 1st as conditions during this time seem to be rapidly at change. On the tentative date of re opening (April 2nd 2020) I only am seeing clients that: **Have been in the 2 week Quarantine as well **Have not been in contact with any new persons in that 2 week time span of coming into the clinic for treatment **Have not been outside the Metro region in the 2 week time span of coming in for treatment **have not been Experiencing any flu like symptoms (fever, malaise, sore throat, cough, congestion etc.) **I will not be giving you treatment if you will be coming into contact with any immune compromised people 2 weeks POST massage treatment, (for the safety of these people, I will not take the chance ) **My regular clinic hours will not be restored at the time of reopening, as I will be taking 30 minutes between clients to allow for proper and excessive clinic disinfection and to create social isolation between clients. **Clients are to be advised at the time of treatment to NOT show up early OR late for your appointment to ensure adequate spacing measures remain effective. As I have said above this is a decision I’m currently making based on information given by the minister of health and safety of Newfoundland, as well as information given to me by the Newfoundland Massage Therapy Association. I’m also basing my decision of the partial re-opening of my practice in 2 weeks on the fact that my clinic is very small and will only be 1 person here at a time. With only 3-4 people in the span of a day, with ample disinfection time between. I will keep you all updated in the coming weeks developments!!
