As of Mon, Jan 31, 2022 King’s will return to on-campus learning and services, along with Brescia University College and Huron University College. In-person classes will resume for all students, including first year, except where courses are already noted as virtual for the term. This decision was made balancing the academic and health needs of our community. We hope that this plan will allow you to make decisions for the remainder of the winter term.

Two years ago, January 8, four beloved members of the Western community lost their lives among the 176 passengers killed on Flight PS752 when it was shot down m...oments after take-off from Tehran. We mark this somber anniversary by paying respect to the memories of these talented students and their tragically unrealized potential to do good in the world. We remember Ghazal Nourian, 26, a PhD candidate in mechanical and materials engineering, for her fascination with nanotechnology and solar power, and for her ambition to be a professor. Milad Nahavandi, 34, who could turn his hands to solving any problem, we remember working to find a biodegradable alternative to PET plastic as part of his doctoral studies in chemical and biochemical engineering. Hadis Hayatdavoudi, 27, a PhD candidate in chemistry, we remember as a volunteer who tutored people with disabilities and as a brilliant researcher focused on safeguarding the storage of used nuclear fuel. And we remember the dream of Sajedeh Saraeian, 26, to relieve diabetic patients from painful daily injections, a goal she was just beginning to pursue as a master’s student in chemical and biochemical engineering. #westernu #PS752

Students in the Building Healthy Communities course have partnered with the Age Friendly London Network in developing an advocacy strategy for rent-geared-to-income housing for older adults. This group is one of a number of King's representatives that will be part of the CityStudio London Hubbub, a celebratory digital showcase and networking event coming up next Thursday, Apr. 29. A blended campus allows a variety of instructional delivery methods, the ability for King’s to offer on-campus housing and study spaces alongside a blend of in-person and virtual services to support academics and the student experience as best we can under the current conditions.
