Teamwork: building a pirate ship

So much to explore with ice! We filled different sized and shaped containers with water earlier this week and left them outside to freeze. Some clear, some with food colouring, and some even had paint in them. Today was all about exploring g how ice melts. How quick? Temperature? How does it feel? How do the colours combine? And PAINTING with the melting paint-filled ice cubes.

How’s everyone doing during our first cold snap of 2021 ?? Please pass on to anyone you know with preschool-aged children that our registration dates for 2021-2022 are coming soon. Feb 3 6:30-8 for Kingsland Community Members and our preschool Alumni, and Feb 4 6:30-8 for the General Public. Registration will occur at our preschool (enter down the stairs on the parking lot), masking and distancing in effect. Registration forms and info can be printed from our website (link in bio). Registration for our 2021-2022 school year is coming!! February 3, 6:30-8pm for our Alumni and Kingsland Community Association members, and February 4, 6:30-8 for the General Public. Happy New Year! We hope everyone had a peaceful, healthy and happy holiday. On the last day of preschool , we sent home a little package for your child to do this week if possible. The instructions should be included. We are hoping that you can do this with your child sometime this week and then send it back to preschool next week. We will be writing stories about the snowmen. Everyone’s will be different and there are no right or wrong ways to make them. We are sure... that some of the children will enjoy the messy art and some will not be so enthusiastic! If you would like to extend this, you can ask your child about his/her snowman, make a snow storm scene with the snowman, practice writing the word, SNOW or SNOWMAN, read stories about snowmen, watch/sing Frosty the Snowman and go outside to build a real snowman. Please send pictures of any of these activities to us if you want. If you post your photo to your stories and tag @kingslandpreschool we can share your snowmen with everyone!
