Meet Kingston Mazda Parts Advisor Alex Topping How long have you worked for Kingston Mazda? I started working at Kingston Mazda in October 2017.... Have you always been a fan of Mazda? Yes and no. I’ve always been a fan of the Mazda RX7 but never owned a Mazda until recently. I was looking for a RWD sports car and all the articles and reviews made it clear the Miata was the best choice, so I bought one. Do you currently drive a Mazda? I drive a black 1999 Mazda Miata Mx5 with the leather package and a black 2015 Mazda 3 GS. What inspired you to work in the industry? I started working at Napa Auto Parts in 2012. I was working as a cook at the time and I was tired of working weekends and holidays. Also, Napa was around the corner from my house : ) What’s a typical working day like for you? I receive all the parts from the previous days order and send them to local garages and body shops. I speak with wholesale and retail customers looking for Mazda OEM parts and I assist service and sales departments by getting parts for vehicles going into the shop. I also help anyone looking for new tires. What makes you most proud to say you work at Kingston Mazda? Mazda is among the safest and most reliable vehicles. We also have the best selling sports car of all time, the Miata!

As 2020 winds down, I'd like to say thank you to some people. First, to our customers who have purchased and serviced your vehicles here, thank you for your support. Business has its ups and downs (certainly true this year), but we have some great customers who we're always happy to see. The next round of thank you's goes to our partners at Mazda Canada. From our field reps who are there for us to all the support staff and executives, thanks for providing us great vehicles,... but more importantly thanks for the communication, team work, and plans to make Mazda the best. So, if you need your car ...serviced or need to look at a new car, please get in touch to set up an appointment. How we're keeping both our customers and our staff safe. We are limiting contact as much as possible. Please try to make arrangements to drop your car for service and have someone pick you up. We can offer taxi rides in some cases. We are trying to avoid having people wait for their car in store although we do have limited seating in the waiting area for those that need to wait here. The seating is spaced out to allow distance between customers. We have a drop box to put your keys in by the service door with envelopes to put your keys in. There is a pen there to fill in your details that is being cleaned but you are welcome to use your own. Payment for service can be made by phone or through a secure link to limit interactions. We can make arrangements to get your key back to you. We are maintaining distance and have plexiglass dividers in places where needed. Vehicles are being wiped down in between test drives. Desks, work stations, and touch points are being cleaned regularly. As per Kingston Public Health order, masks or face coverings must be worn inside the dealership. We have hand sanitizing stations just inside the showroom and service doors. Thank you and stay healthy
