Our office is treating emergencies. ----------------------------------------------- Please stay safe! We look forward to seeing your for all other dental services when the crisis has passed. The Dental College strongly recommends all non-essential and elective dental services are suspended immediately. Emergency treatment should continue.... May this holiday season bring peace, happiness, and joy!May this holiday season bring peace, happiness, and joy!
Here are a few ideas of what else you can do with all the candy you collect on Halloween: Freeze it for later Decorate a gingerbread house or holiday baked goods Give it away to friends, local charities Saw this online: The Halloween Fairy (or Switch Witch) will come and replace it with a toy... Re-use them in loot bags and pinatas for birthday parties Add some to trail mix Share in teachers’ staff room or your office Donate candy call first to see who will accept them. Note that the Hospital for Sick Children (Sick Kids) doesn’t take, but seniors' residences and charities may appreciate some. See more
Let them have fun when they first get the candy but it may be better to eat some immediately than to space them out. Here’s an article in Time Magazine that explains why: https://time.com/4998528/halloween-candy-dentist-sugar/
It’s almost Halloween and kids are excited to collect candy. And it’s fun to see all the creative costumes! Are you giving out candies? A teal-coloured pumpkin signals that you have nut-free or non-candy items that are suitable for kids with allergies. Our office has some allergy-sensitive treats, too! And if you don’t want your child to have food, we always have little toys to give out, even during the rest of the year. It’s a good idea to screen the candy to make sure it’s safe (make sure they are wrapped) and allergen-free (if your kids have any). Decide how much they should eat so they don’t consume too much sugar at one time! And of course, remind them to brush and floss!
