Bible Sunday 2012 - October 21, 2012 Join with the Canadian Bible Society and hundreds of churches across Canada to take part in Bible Sunday 2012! Let's rejoice in how God's Word changes hearts and lives! CBS's free resources will provide you with everything you need to enjoy Bible Sunday. Register today at www.biblesociety.ca/biblesunday ... As we celebrate Bible Sunday we remember the millions of people around the world who are still waiting for a single book of God's Word to be translated into their heart language. As such, this year's theme is 'End the Waiting'. The need for Bible translation is still pressing as only 430 languages, out of nearly 7,000 in the world, have a complete Bible. About 2,400 have portions. Participating in Bible Sunday builds awareness and gives your congregation an opportunity help them End the Waiting. The official date is October 21, but many churches will be observing Bible Sunday at other dates which suit their church calendar. This is a great event for Sunday schools or small groups as well! (CBS just a couple of months ago completed translation of the full Inuktitut Bible for Canada's 33,000 Inuktitut speakers, along-awaited and exciting event. 3 years ago, the Naskapi Bible (for Innu people in Quebec and Labrador) was released as well.)
