Today is World Kindness Day, which is observed on November 13, every year. It was introduced in 1998 by the World Kindness Movement, a coalition of nations' kin...dness NGOs. It is observed in many countries, including Canada, Japan, Australia, Nigeria, and United Arab Emirates. Kindness is the sincere and voluntary use of one's time, talent, and resources to better the lives of others, one's own life, and the world through genuine acts of love, compassion, generosity, and service. Moreover, kindness involves choice. How can you be more kind in your daily life to others? Seven ways to start making kindness the norm in your daily life: Send an uplifting text to a friend or family member. Let that guy merge into traffic with a wave and a smile. Include intentional moments of kindness, laughter, and delight in your daily routine. Go slightly outside your comfort zone at least once a day to make someone smile. Share a compliment with a coworker or friend. Reach out to a family member you haven't spoken to in a while. Treat someone to a cup of coffee (a friend, stranger, or even yourself). #HARS #Kingston #kindness #compassion #bekind #belove #giving #loveeachother #givelove #showlove #secondchance #spreadlove #lovealwayswins #chooselove #hope #dogood #empathy #bethechange #humanity #gratitude #justice

LGBTQI2S youth please share your voice! Egale Canada has launched a national survey on LGBTQI2S youth (14-24) dating violence, in partnership with the Univ...ersity of Manitoba. The results of this survey will help inform policy decisions, programming options to combat gender based violence, and will shed light on the unique contexts in which LGBTQI2S youth experience dating violence.
