Many of us spend a good deal of our time staring at screens from laptops, computers, smartphones, gaming systems and television. This can put a lot of strain on our eyes and cause eye fatigue. When using your screens give your eyes a break.

Dry eye symptoms can result from the normal aging process, eyelid oil gland issues, hormonal changes, exposure to certain environmental conditions, problems with normal blinking or from certain medications. Dry eye can also be symptomatic of general health problems, such as arthritis, or can result from UV exposure and environmental irritants.

Spring has sprung which means allergy season is around the corner! Sometimes this means red, itchy, watery eyes. WE HAVE OPTIONS TO HELP. Seasonal allergies are caused by specific allergens such as ragweed, grass or tree pollen. When these allergens come in contact with your body, they bind themselves to the mast cells (a type of white blood cells) found in the body, which are loaded with histamine. Your body then considers them foreign particles. In response, your immune ...system starts to release large quantities of histamine and other chemicals from these mast cells to combat the allergens. The release of histamines produces the symptoms of sneezing, coughing, nasal congestion, red, itchy, and watery eyes. Seasonal allergic reactions can begin at any age.
