Kingsville Highland Games 07.06.2021

2021 KINGSVILLE HIGHLAND GAMES CANCELLED Continuing concerns surrounding COVID-19 have prompted the Town of Kingsville and the Kingsville Highland Games Committee to regretfully announce the CANCELLATION of the Kingsville Highland Games scheduled for June 26th, 2021. The current circumstances are unique and unquestionably challenging, and the work that is being done by so many to carry us all beyond the pandemic is inspiring. The Town of Kingsville and the Committee of Counc...il look forward to welcoming everyone to the Kingsville Highland Games on June 25th, 2022. Today, we remember Neil Lester of the Windsor Police Pipe Band. A friend, band-mate and mentor to many. Neil has been a pillar of the band as well as in the pip...e band community for many years. As a retired Windsor Police Sergeant, Drum Major, Past-President, and part-time Bass Drummer, Neil was a big piece of the band's puzzle. Neil helped guide the band through it's ups and downs over the years, always supporting and lending his experience. Neil was a very proud man. Proud of being a police officer, proud of his years of service in the Military (CWO) and proud of his many accomplishments as Drum Major. You could always count on Neil to get the band to where it was supposed to be, on time. Neil will be missed by many friends that he has made over the years. Neil will be remembered for his dedication, sense of humour and for being a stickler for dress and deportment, for a long time to come. On behalf of the Windsor Police Pipe Band I want to offer my sincere condolences to his wife Judith and the rest of his family. I will leave you with this link to a clip from 2004 of Neil marching the band into the opening ceremonies of the 35th Ryder Cup at Oakland Hills Country Club. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z648xqrLcK8
