Let's Celebrate Earth Day by respecting the nature around us. Here are a few ideas to inspire you this year! 1. Clean up garbage in the parks around your house or in your neighborhood! Go on a walk with a trash bag and gloves and pick up any garbage you might see around the park, on the street or in the gardens. Don't forget to recycle the plastics, paper or metal.... 2. Swap out your Kitchen and Household products! Try to use products that are safe for the environment. Think 100% recycled aluminum foil, compostable bags made with potato starch, and chemical free parchment paper. Use cleaners that are not harsh on the environment. 3.Plant a tree. We love trees! They capture carbon,cool over heated places and support pollinators. 4. Use Wildflowers and Native Plants. Wildflowers and indigenous species are not only beautiful but attract native and beneficial insects that improve pollination and pest control. Anything that you can do will help the planet! #earthday

It’s gardening time!!! Make sure you stretch before you start gardening, especially your low back. Change positions frequently to avoid stiffness or cramping. Use a garden cart or wheelbarrow to move heavy plants or tools. ... Give your knees a break. Using a cushion can help. Take frequent breaks every 20-30 min. Humans spend about 1/3 of our life sleeping. We are a week into day lights savings time and may be feeling tired from losing an hours sleep. Sleep plays an integral role in our health. A good nights sleep helps our body recover and heal. Insufficient sleep and poor quality of sleep can interfere with our productivity and concentration, may contribute to weight gain, affects our immune system and affect our overall health. ... How much sleep do we need? Adults age 18-64 need 7-9 hours. Adults over 65 need 7-8 hours. Children 10 + hours. Tips on how to get a good nights sleep. Try to decrease screen time 1-2 hours before bed and don't watch TV in bed! Stop eating around 8pm. Sleep in a cool and dark room. Reading before bed can accelerate the time it takes you to fall asleep. Meditation can help quiet your mind and body, while enhancing inner peace.
