Community of Valemount, it appears our fence gates, around the Lion Hall's backyard, have been vandalized yet again. If you could keep an eye out for any suspicious behaviors until we get cameras we would appreciate it so much. Thank you!!!
Edit: due to some recent community exposures we will not be able to run a camp. We are taking registrations for full time after school programming which we aim to be opening in April.
We will be open for Spring Break. Registration papers are located in our CVCA Kidz Care group or message on Facebook to arrange a time to register! You can also contact Hope at 250-566-5227 between 11:30AM and 2:30PM to arrange an in person registration time. $100/week per child or $20 per day drop in rate... we will require paperwork filled out for your child. We are excited to begin offering school aged child care!
Happy 2021! We at CVCA understand that the current global situation has introduced a whole new set of challenges for everyone. We are ready to get our program started and are looking for feedback. How can we help you feel comfortable enrolling your children in a school-aged childcare program? Please let us know.
Registration is now OPEN for our licensed school aged child care. This week is already booked up. Registration will be BY APPOINTMENT only. We will schedule the appointments for 1.5 hour time slots to allow time for cleaning between parents. If you are interested in registering please message with available times so a schedule can be made out. Super exciting times!

The Canoe Valley Community Association is excited to open new childcare spaces in Valemount BC. We have successfully achieved our License for School Closure Childcare in the community. This achievement has created 24 subsidized spaces for children kindergarten through to age 12. Of note, registered children will be picked up at the elementary school and transported to the Centre with our new Kidz Care bus. At this time, we wish to thank Columbia Basin Trust, and in particul...ar our area representative, Linda LaFleur, for all the help and support. Their granting programs allowed this to happen. As well, this could not have been achieved without dedication of the CVCA Board, volunteers and staff, it is their hard work that got us to this point. Finally, much thanks to Mayor Owen Torgerson and Council, Regional H director Danielle Allen and Shirley Bond, who were there with us all the way. Tentative opening date is December 1, 2020. Though registration will commence as soon as possible. We have been striving towards this goal for a long time and it is amazing to finally see it come to fruition. Obtaining this license will allow us to further support families in the community in a substantial way. ~Charlotte Abernathy, President~ See more
