The Grey Bruce Health Unit declared a critical threshold of COVID-19 cases in Grey Bruce and have asked everyone to stay at home except for essential travel. In addition to the existing closures, and to support this effort and protect our Staff, Council and our community, the Municipality of Kincardine has decided to close all ...Municipal Facilities until Monday April 19, 2021 at the earliest. Please visit our website at www.kincardine.ca for updates. Essential services will continue to operate to maintain legislative requirements including snow removal, water and wastewater management, and fire & emergency services. The Kincardine Waste Management Centre will be closed until Monday April 19, 2021 at the earliest. Garbage/recycling collection will continue as scheduled. All Municipal Staff who are able to do so, will be working from home during this period. They will be available by email and by phone at their regular extension. Taxes and other Municipal payments can be paid by mail, the drop box at the Municipal Administration Centre and the Underwood Satellite Office, online or through telephone banking. There will be a vaccination clinic held TODAY, April 13, 2021, from 8:30am-6:30pm at the Kincardine Davidson Centre, for those with an appointment. Parking will be coordinated from 8:00am-7:00pm to accommodate staffing, arrivals and late departures. PLEASE NOTE:... - Only scheduled appointments for vaccinations will be permitted to park on site - If you are an area resident and are scheduled to get a vaccine, and can safely do so, you are encouraged to walk to the clinic Thank you to everyone for your continued cooperation and patience. Appointments for qualifying age groups can be made on-line at https://ontario.ca/bookvaccine or through the provincial toll-free number 1-888-999-6488. Davidson Centre staff are not able to book appointments in person or over the phone.

The Premier of Ontario has announced a province-wide emergency brake shutdown today, April 1st. This will affect the Municipality of Kincardine starting on Saturday, April 3, 2021, at 12:01 am. The shutdown will be in place for at least four weeks. The Municipality of Kincardine has issued a press release detailing the full extent of services that will experience changes due to the provincewide emergency brake shutdown. COVID-19 UPDATE: Under current provincial lockdown measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19, indoor recreation facilities are closed from December 26th 2020 until January 23rd 2021. This includes the Davidson Centre and Tiverton Sport Centre, including arenas, gymnasiums, indoor walking track and swimming pool.

As Kincardine moves from level green to yellow on the provinces COVID-19 response framework we would like to remind everyone of the 3W's : wear a mask correctly, watch your distance and wash or sanitize your hands often. Fitness class sizes (Landfit & Aquafit) at the Davidson Centre are impacted by this announcement with numbers per class being reduced to ten (10). Other activities, including the opening of the walking track will continue under the existing protocols. Everyone is reminded to visit the Municipal Website at www.kincardine.ca and ensure that they register to attend and to stay up to date on any further changes.

We are now excited to be offering more programs starting on November 23rd, 2020 at the Davidson Centre. Huff n Puff, Adult Skate and our Indoor Walking Track are back with revised operating times.
