Sometimes we forget the people our grandparents and parents were. We see them as older and likely only half of their true selves in their younger years. My Nana Margaret, lived a fabulous life. Talented artist, keeper of the family stories and history, always curious and seeking to learn more about the world. Grateful for the many years we got to spend together, and the 98 years of experience and life she shared with us. We will miss you very much Nana. It won’t be the same without you but your stories, photos and songs will live on!

My lovely grandmother passed away yesterday at 98 years old. I am so glad that my dad was able to show and read to her the book he just wrote and illustrated, 'The Accidental Jungle'. She is thrilled. This was a week ago. She loved to tell stories of our family and was an artist herself. She kept notes and photos and that is what inspired me to capture and share family stories.
