Elmwood Christmas Market was a huge success! The residents were so excited to shop for Christmas presents for their Family and Friends at the Christmas Market. ...These local vendors lent us display products for the residents to place orders on items they want to purchase. This market provides a safe shopping experience in small groups for the residents. After the residents finish their shopping, they headed to Whoville sponsored by the Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon. They enjoyed a snack, a balloon creation from Balloon Funn by Warren and a Christmas gift purchased by the Kinsmen. The Christmas Market is on for 3 days to let each group have time to shop, visit Whoville and sanitize in between groups. Huge THANK YOU to all our vendors for making this event possible! Happy New Year Everyone! We received this wonderful message from the Saskatoon Public Schools Foundation and thought we'd share it with you all. "From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting our Cheer Crate initiative this past week. Your contribution helped us make the Cheer Crates extra special! It was a busy but wonderful day. We were able to assemble and deliver over 630 Cheer Crates to families all over Saskatoon. I have included one of many thank you messages we received. I hope you enjoy their smiles as much as we did."

Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon has for a number of years taken time each Remembrance day to thank our veterans and current military personnel. One way we've done this is to go to these places and purchase a beverage for these great Canadians. This year things are different but our desire to say thank you is the same. Partnering with 9 Mile Legacy Brewing, we have dropped off vouchers at HMCS Saskatoon, Hugh Cairns Armoury and the Army Navy and Air Force Veterans Club to be handed out to their members. These vouchers allow our veterans to get a complimentary beverage at either 9 mile brewery or at the Veterans club. From all of us at The Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon, THANK YOU to all the current and past military personnel for your service.

After visiting their son in Vancouver, BC in 2019; Lorna and David McEwan wanted to help the Cystic Fibrosis Adults that attend the Saskatoon CF clinic. They had seen a cart in their son's hospital room while in Vancouver. The cart was supplied with a mini fridge, microwave, kettle and a Keurig, and was a great addition to aid in his comfort for his long hospital stay. Lorna, who has CF as well, noted that these appliances were a needed aspect to help with one's care while in... hospital. A few phone calls were made and the idea was presented to the Saskatoon Adult Clinic. The Clinic was excited with the idea and suggested 2 carts, if it was possible. Lorna, a fellow Kinette and CF Adult Liaison for the North CF chapter, took the lead and wrote a letter requesting funding which was submitted to the local Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon. KCOS graciously committed to the project. In February 2020 the items needed for the cart were purchased and delivered the beginning of March to RUH in Saskatoon to the CF Adult Clinic Team. Both carts have been used and the CF adults who have been in hospital, for the required long term stay, are extremely grateful for them. These carts have given the patients independence to take care of their own nutrition and not be dependent on hospital food alone.
