Kinsmen Sunday Night Bingo is back! Our radio bingo starts up this Sunday, April 11th at 7pm on Rewind 95.9 FM! All regular games are $200 and our jackpot is st...arting out at $5000. We're also starting out with 2 loonie bins @ $1000! Cards can be purchased at the list of retailers below. Cost: 6 pages 6 face book $8.00 each. $1.00 from the sale of each book goes in a loonie bin win on the loonie number and you get the amount in the jar. If the loonie doesn’t go, it will build each week until it reaches $1000, then another loonie jar will be started. The loonie is good on all games. Games 7 games to be played on 6 cards 1. 1 Line or 4 corners 2. Any 2 Lines 3. Letter X 4. All Around the Free 5. Any 2 Lines with Wild Ball 6. 1 Line or 4 corners 7. Caller will call the numbers in 15 second intervals. 7. Winners will call 352-8000. 8. Cards are verified by reading the number in the free space. If phone line is busy, keep calling since there may be multiple winners. 9. Once the game is announced closed, there will be no more cards accepted for verification. 10. In the event of multiple winners, prize amount for the game will be divided equally. The minimum prize will be $50. 11. Card sales will stop as soon as the bingo starts at 7 pm. 12. Doors open at 6PM, Show starts at 7PM *Social distancing and masks mandatory* Jimmy’s Bio: Jimmy MacKinley has been performing stand up comedy for nearly a decade. He can be seen on stages all over Canada with Yuks Yuks Comedy Clubs. You can hear him on CBC Radio, Sirius XM, he has toured with Gerry Dee and will be featured in the Trailer Park Boys’ upcoming series in January 2021 Matt’s Bio: Matt Richardson was born and raised in a small village outside Miramichi, NB. This is where he learned to use comedy as a weapon because physically fighting is exhausting. He studied theatre and began performing stand-up comedy while at St.Thomas University. After graduation he then decided to move to the slightly larger village of Toronto. He found people there who use actual weapons as weapons so he really had to strengthen his comedy. He graduated from the Second City Conservatory Program while continuing to perform stand-up, improv, and sketch comedy. Matt has been featured in the CBC Radio program LOL. Matt has most recently has been back in the East Coast performing theatre and stand-up across the Atlantic Provinces.

The membership of the Kinsmen Club of the Miramichi are shocked and deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Past President and K40 member John Jack Walsh Q.C. Jack was an active member of our club during the 80’s and 90’s. He chaired many projects and his quick wit was always enjoyed during the meetings. We send our deepest sympathies to Jack’s wife, Past Kinette President, Brenda and his daughters, Katie and Becky Doyle (Will) and his granddaughter Andie. Thank you for your service to our club Jack, not to mention your service to your profession and your city and province. You will be remembered with admiration and respect. God bless. Every year on February 20th Kin clubs across the country celebrate the National Day of KINdness by performing acts of kindness in their communities. This year we partnered with Mrs. Nancy Stewart’s Grade 8 class at Dr. Losier Middle School. The Miramichi Kinsmen provided $1000 and challenged the students to select groups or people in the community for appreciation and recognition. During the last 6 weeks, the class researched and selected these groups and then delivered tok...ens of appreciation on Friday, February 26th. From Corrections Officers to Nursing Home Workers to other local businesses, the students did a phenomenal job selecting these often-unsung heroes that have kept things going during this pandemic. Thanks to everyone who has gone above and beyond in the last 12 months! The project was a huge success and would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of staff and students of Dr. Losier Middle School and Project Chair Anthony Gray (who is also an EA in Mrs. Stewart’s class).
