This year has been full of unexpected twists and turns. We missed having our last show of the year, but want to share with you the talent of Martin Kerr. Right now it is important that we show support for these artists. Buy their music, like their social media pages, engage with their posts! These are all ways we can still support them. Check Martin out, you won't be disappointed! We can't wait until the day we can open our doors again. Stay safe!... https://youtu.be/t1O1zegs4GU

OSAC has a strong membership represented from many communities across the province. Today we highlight the Kipling & District Arts Council ====================...============= Initial planning to organize Kipling & District Arts Council began in the fall of 1985. The first concert was in 1986 featuring John Allan Cameron. At the time, a new community centre was in its planning stages. input from the newly formed arts council resulted in a gallery space in the foyer, access to the stage from an adjoining meeting room, and storage space for a grand piano whose purchase was later spearheaded by the arts council. Improvements to the stage and a new hanging system for visual art came about as arts council funds accumulated along with community support. A school of dance was established under the umbrella of Kipling & District Arts Council in 1987 and operated for five years. Stars for Saskatchewan performances continued along with some extra concerts, often featuring local performers. Memories were made when George Fox appeared on two occasions packing the house! Arts on the Move exhibits were displayed in the foyer gallery, exposing many students from the adjacent school to visual arts. In 1990, an adjudicated show featuring the work of local artists was hosted by the arts council. The community centre gallery now features canvas collages of autographed posters and pictures from each live arts council performance since 1986. We are proud of our Wall of Fame and many of our touring performers take pleasure in it, often finding colleagues or even themselves on a previous visit. The gallery space which features our Wall of Fame canvas collages are something we are very proud of. During this time, this is a bright spot h to highlight what has been and what is yet to come! It not only serves as a reminder of memorable performances, but also of the active presence and ongoing commitment of an arts council in the community. Member, Kipling & District Arts Council

The Organization of Saskatchewan Arts Councils has announced the cancellation of the 2020-21 touring season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While disappointing, this was necessary and the safest decision for all. We look forward to bringing back both new & rescheduled performances, so stay tuned & be well. Stay safe everyone and thank you for your continued support throughout the years!
