Attention all parents !!!!!! Due to our weather we are postponing our younger group until 10:00am and they will stay until 1:00pm. Our older group will still have the afternoon slot from 1:00-4:00pm. Can’t wait to see you all for our last day of Kippens Rec!!!! We will still have the bouncy castles in use all day !!!

We will be having water day tomorrow for the older group in the morning and the younger group in the afternoon, participants are encouraged to take a towel with them. Can’t wait to see you all here!

Hello everyone! Today at Kippens Rec we are having our bike rodeo for the younger group from 9:00-12:00, please make sure to bring your bike and helmet with you! Tomorrow morning we will be having our Nerf Gun War for the older group from 9:00-12:00, bring your Nerf Guns and a pair of glasses or safety glasses for protection! Friday will be our Halloween Day so come dressed in your best costume, can’t wait to see you all here!!

Hello everyone! Please see the attached photo below of a memo that was/will be sent home with participants today. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding! Also, we would like to confirm that Friday’s theme day will still be going ahead as planned on the previous memo sent out this week (Hawaiian day with younger group in the morning and older group in the afternoon)

On another note, we would like to take this chance to ask the community to donate any old gaming consoles (Xbox, wii, game cube, etc.) if there are any that are not in use. We are trying to come up with new and exciting ways to engage our participants during rainy days and potentially recess times! Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Hello Parents and Guardians, today were sending home a few forms with participants. The first one you’ll see here is an updated schedule for our program this summer, hopefully this will clear up any confusion about our program’s time slots but if there are any questions, comments or concerns feel free to contact us through our Facebook page or through email at kippensrecreation.com. The second slip is this week’s memo! Start thinking about how you’ll show some tropical spiri...t for this coming Friday! Lastly, you’ll find a media consent form. We’re asking parents and guardians to fill these out and return them with participants so we can start uploading pictures from this summer’s program to our website and Facebook page. On certain forms (depending on the participant) there will be a hand written prompt for parents/guardians to also include participants’ MCP numbers because we do not have them on file. That is all! Hello Everyone! For tomorrow we plan to have a game orientated day. We'll be having stations set up with different smaller games for everyone to play throughout their allotted time period. In the morning (9:00am-12:00pm) we'll be hosting the younger group and in the afternoon (1:00pm-4:00pm) we'll be hosting the older group. Its calling for a hot day tomorrow so don't forget to bring water bottles and hats! Can't wait to see everyone in the A.M.!

Calling out to all Kippen's Recreation participants (and parents/guardians of course...without you this program wouldn't be possible): Please bring in a mask for tomorrow incase it's raining! This way we can get away with playing some of our less socially distanced games (A.K.A GAGA PIT... LET'S GO!).

Hello everyone, update on registration for Kippens Recreation: Our older group is full but there is still some room in our younger age group(2010-2013). The registration fee is 60$ per participant and conveniently our first day is this Monday (July 6) with the younger group being scheduled for the morning slot so drop by to register your child and get them in for their first day (program starts at 9:00am with a 12:00pm pick up). We do our registration on a first come, first serve basis so don't be tardy!

Hello everyone! Just a friendly reminder that we are doing registration all day today (from 9:00am- 12:00pm and from 1:00pm-4:00pm and if we still have capacity we'll be back again from 6-8pm). We are currently at half capacity so there's still lots of room for participants. Come on down to sign up!

Hello everyone, apologies for the late notice but with the heavy fog rolling in on Kippens this evening we will be suspending our firework show until Sunday at 10:00 pm sorry for the inconvenience this may cause!

Reminder for everyone to come out and watch our firework display at 10:00pm this evening over at the Kippens field. Also, keep our social distancing measures in mind for this evening- try to stay 2 meters/6 feet apart from those not in your bubble! Stay kind, stay safe and stay active everyone!

UPDATE ON KIPPENS RECREATION REGISTRATION! Due to COVID-19 restrictions we have a limit of 80 participants for our program and are now opening up registration to all participants (for those from Kippens and surrounding areas). Formal registration times are until 8:00 pm tonight (June 30) as well as all day Thursday, July 2 (starting at 9:00 am) at the Kippens Recreation centre. We've also altered our age groups to the following: Younger Group will be aged 2010-2012 while the Older Group will be aged 2006-2009. Be sure to share this post to get the word out. Looking forward to seeing everyone back for another year of activities!
