This completes our Bronze Medallion and Bronze Cross Course here at Kipling & District Swimming Pool, with all 11 candidates successful! The communities of Kipling, Whitewood and Moosomin have some strong candidates for employment next season! Huge thanks to Makayla Heslip, our course Instructor for the week!

Our final session of Red Cross Swim Lessons for 2020 wrapped up today! Special thanks to our two instructors - Jordyn Harcourt and Kai Joorisity who persevered through all 4 sessions, especially the 3 one-week sessions that make for very long days! Kipling Swimming Pool will be hosting a Bronze Cross & Medallion Course, August 24-27, running from 9:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m. each day (with a 30 min. lunch break). Cost will be $150 per participant. We are very excited to announce our "Free Swim Fridays" (afternoons only), sponsored by Vermilion Energy! Friday afternoons in August will be no charge to the public, thanks to Vermilion Energy! Of course, our pool and facility limits due to COVID-19 will still be in effect.

Session 3 (August 10-14) Red Cross Swim Lessons are FULL in the following classes: Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, Level 4 and Level 5! There is still a good amount of room left in our final session of Swimming Lessons. Register now to avoid disappointment!

A huge thank you to Brady and Jessica Sproat for the donation of 6 new deck chairs for our facility! These snazzy chairs are a welcome addition at Kipling & District Swimming Pool!

As we are ready to begin our first set of Red Cross Swim Lessons next week, there are a few things that might look a bit different to those participating this year, due to COVID-19 recommendations: - you will be required to check in prior to each lesson (we log the time in and time out of everyone for contract tracing) - you may be verbally screened many times throughout your session of lessons (please be patient, we are asking the questions because it is a Public Health requ...irement) - you will notice directional flow arrows on the floors and/or walls and are expected to follow them - we ask that you come dressed in your swimwear and exit in your swimwear, when possible - also, do not leave your belongings in the change rooms - as every other year, you are required to shower before entering the water - parents/caregivers of swimmers up to and including Level 4 are expected to come ready to enter the water if required by the instructor (you will not be in the water unless requested) - it is the responsibility of parents and caregivers to ensure they and their children are practicing physical distancing while in our facility (you will notice many signs to remind you) - as we have a facility limit, we ask that you do not hang around the facility any longer than you need to following your lessons (we know for some, this is impossible and we will be understanding of those situations). Despite these additional changes, we are very excited to welcome everyone to the Kipling & District Swimming Pool, and look forward to a very exciting and fun-filled week of learning! Bring on the hot weather!

Remaining sessions are: July 20-31 (2 week session - lessons mornings only) August 10-14 (1 week session - 2 lessons Mon-Thurs; 1 lesson Friday) August 17-21 (1 week session - 2 lessons Mon-Thurs; 1 lesson Friday)... In the July 20-31 session, Level 1 is FULL In the August 10-14 session, Sea Turtle has 1 spot left; Sunfish has 1 spot left; Levels 1, 3, and 4 are FULL In the August 17-21 session, all levels have room.
