Round two...unfortunately due to the recent school shutdowns and my attention being pulled here at home, I am very sorry to say that The Kitchen Nanny will temporarily be closed during this time. All current scheduled visits will be fulfilled however no new bookings until after Jan 25th. Thank you, I love cooking for all of you. You are the best! It's Q&A time... How do my services work? Alot of times people will ask me for a menu or how much my meals cost...fixed price is not my business. I do not sell products. Rather a service. What is it I do?... Before Covid had me re-thinking my business plan...I would go to a clients house, meal plan with them, do their groceries and then prep 4-5 meals for the week there at their house. I still do the same thing pretty much but it just looks a little different with social distancing in play. Currently I do all the cooking and just deliver the meals to my clients. I still do meal prepping with them, usually over the phone or through emails. What is my rate of service? My rate is $20/per hr. On average 4-5 meals prepped and ready would take approx 4 hrs of my time. There are a few other factors to consider now. Like the access to a clients pantry and fridge and things like eggs and spices that are now at my cost. Also pick up and delivery (within a 15km radius) of any items they wish me to use for that week. So in addition to my hourly rate I charge a $50 service fee that helps cover those additional items. Ultimately I work as ones personal "Kitchen Nanny" or personal assisstant in the kitchen. My time gets billed only while I am preparing or grocery shopping and not while the food is cooking. What is the key element needed for success? Trust and communication are key. Typically if I cook for you once and you see and taste the quality meals I have prepared for you, trust just automatically comes. It's a win-win. If you are dissatisfied in any of the meals you just have to let me know. I am happy to replace them with the same or credit you back the time it took to make. Your satisfaction is my business. So how much will this cost you? Every client is different. Depends on the meals I am making, what if anything from your freezer or pantry that you want to supply and how long it takes me to prepare. See above for avg estimation of 4-5 meals. What meals can I prepare? Anything, really. It can be simple as a meatloaf or adventurous as Curry Chicken. If you have a favorite recipe and willing to share it, I can make it for you. Or if you just want me to decide and give some suggestions I have an array of items to recommend.
