This is all I've ever wanted to do with my life, help people find the joy in theirs, despite their circumstances. Many people believe they can just pop some pills and they'll be ok, others think if they stop eating some thing the problem is gone. Healing from trauma or pain of any kind is much deeper than just eat this and not that.... I know, more than most that having a chronic illness and/or auto immune (been there done both), can make you feel powerless and fearful . I'm hear to tell you, I've been where you are, and I've reached the other side by taking back control over my mental and physical health. I will meet you where you are in life and work with what you're able to do now . In my experience, baby steps are the key to life long lasting changes that will support your long term joy. Just so we're clear - ALL plant based foods contain anti-inflammatory properties. Some contain more than others, but none of them CAUSE inflammation. You already have the inflammation in your body. What you're eating/not eating, thinking/feeling and doing/not doing is either enhancing the problem or decreasing it.... Most illnesses, including #arthritis #cancer and #diabetes have their root in a #dysbiosis (imbalance) of your good gut bacteria. Basically too much of the bad guys and not enough of the good guys. What can you do to change that? Start eating a WIDE variety of whole plant based foods. That's where all the anti-inflammatory properties are, as well as the analgesic (reduces the sensation of pain, like taking a Tylenol) properties are. What's for breakfast? This is what we're having in Ki's Kitchen this morning - ripe juicy mangoes with Ki's famous homemade #sugarfree #omega3s powered granola and unsweetened coconut based yogurt. Eating foods rich in magnesium will help, like pumpkin seeds, walnuts and flax. Rethink the way you start your day and start adding in some natural sources of magnesium.

Most commercial "bread" is not actually bread. Have you ever read the ingredients from you favourite loaf of "bread "? If it says anything more than - water, flour, salt (and fermented starter), with the exception of added whole grains or nuts - then it's not real bread. There are many, many reasons why most people feel ill after eating commercially produced breads. All of which I will teach in my Feed Your Joy group. Gluten intolerance or not (celiac being the exception), c...heck your local bakery or grocery for whole grain organic sourdough and give it a try, just a small piece with a little bit of any thing that does not contain added sugars. Remember, fermented foods are probiotics which are the good guys for your gut. The key to adding a new beneficial food to your system is to go low and slow. Start with 1/4 piece of sourdough with a bit of tomatoes and pinch of salt. No high fat, no sugar, and absolutely no meat or eggs. Keep it simple and basic. Do that for 5 days then you can slowly increase your portion as the bacteria in your system develops. #feedyourjoy #guthealth #sourdough #bread #antiinflammatoryfoods #probiotic
