Shari took the time today to go on a fun adventure to visit offices throughout Kitchener West area to introduce our new periodontist, Dr. Kozomara and let them know that Dr. Robertson is doing well and has no immediate plans for retirement! Thyroid Awareness Month Have you heard of thyroid disease? Do you know the ribbon colour for thyroid disease? Or maybe you have never heard of this disease. It is more common than diabetes or heart disease. Although it occurs in women more than men, it is important to be aware of such disease. Thyroid glands produce thyroid hormones. These hormones play an integral role in our body because it affects how other organs function. Too much or too little hormones is bad and usually indicates that our thyroid glands are not working properly. This disease is often overlooked and untreated because these symptoms are difficult to notice. Symptoms include fatigue, weight fluctuations, mood swings, and anxiety. Thyroid disease can be treated with proper treatment. Share to spread the awareness!
