Hi everyone it's me Popeye, my surgery went very well and I'm on a bunch of antibiotics. I'm resting now and now I can relax because I don't have to worry about defending myself outside anymore. I tested positive for FIV but Tammy said that's okay because that makes me extra special :-) Good night... Love Popeye

UPDATE!!! ADOPTED!! This beautiful girl Is now available for adoption. She gets along well with other cats but I am unsure about dogs. She is 2 years old and fully vetted.

I don't know if you all remember this sweet little girl, my good friend Mark at Kitchener Street CATS who helps feral cats hwre in Kitchener found some kittens that needed help and of course he reached out to me to take them in. Felix's amputation went well and his neutering, he's unsure about the cone but he can manage :-) he is now taking over the facility washroom for now until we can get his urination issues sorted out through medication. These grumpy boys are being neutered, vaccinated and microchipped today (TNR))and wellness check at Humane Society. I'm a little worried about the boy on the right that looks like he has a toupee on :-) it appears he has some injuries to his leg and he's severely malnutritioned. They are not 100% feral but they are definitely not liking humans right now. Once they are done recovering from their surgery they will be going into the social room so I can do further assessment on... their behaviour. Much live Tammy

Good morning everyone its me Henry, I'm doing great :-) I'm still healing which will take me quite some time but I love it here at the facility. This poor boy was trapped last night. Super friendly, I've named him Popeye. He will be heading to the vet this morning to get medical treatment. Thank you Carrie for securing this boy and getting him to safety.... Much love Tammy

Felix will be at the vet all day today, he will be getting his tail amputated, neutered and vaccinated and will continue his antibiotics to help him pee instead of peeing himself as well has pain meds It was recently discovered that his tail is pretty mangled and will have to be removed to give him better comfort. Felix is in great spirits he is such a love bug and I love having to share my office with him :-) he keeps me company while I go through all the emails and paper... work. Felix has a long way to go to recovery Much love Tammy

UPDATE!! IVE BEEN ADOPTED!!!!! Yay me!!!! Hi everyone my name is Pola. I am a princess looking for my Palace not a Prince.... I'm looking for a home where I can be the only cat because I hate with a passion sharing humans with other cats. I have different personalities so I'm not best suited in a home with NO young children or dogs. Trust me when I say I will attack another cat if it's anywhere near me, sometimes the smell of kitties throughout the facility i will randomly hiss out loud so they can hear me cuss them from the other side of the facility. I may be a princess but I cuss like a sailor towards other cats haha I am very loving, only towards humans, I love to snuggle and I love to be petted and more importantly I love my heated bed which will go with me when I'm adopted. I love to lounge around and follow humans all over the place. When you call my name I come running to you. If you can't adopt me can you please share my post and hope that there's someone out there who would give me a forever home.

Sadly this year because of covid-19 we can't make our rounds spreading awareness and doing bake sales to raise money for kitten season, however this is one of my all-time favourite pictures of last year at Highland road Pet Valu spreading awareness. We raised almost $1,000 last year on this day!!!!! Now that Kitchener stray cat rescue has a facility so much more we can do to spread awareness and raise money such as barbecues, workshops, car shows, plant sales, yard sales ...and we have lots of green grass to host it!! As soon as we get through this covid-19 great things will happen :-) Much love Tammy

Shame on the human who dumped mama and her two babies in New Hamburg. One baby has been secured hopefully we can get the mama and the other baby soon. This precious little boy doesn't know yet but his life just got a whole lot better :-)... Much love Tammy

FOSTER HOME NEEDED! for FIV+ neutered adult male, vaccinated, dewormed. Requirements: -experience giving medication... -have either no other cats, have FIV+ cats or a spare room where he can be free to roam away from all other cats. He is super friendly I need a temporary foster until January 1st

Blaze just had hernia surgery done and he will be available for adoption soon. Orzo was pulled from the cafe is he develop an eye irritation and minor URI. I know I received several applications for orzo however I would prefer for you to meet him up close and personal so you have an idea of his demeanour, he is extremely skittish but once he is comfortable with you he will be your new best friend :-) You can meet these beautiful babies at the Pet Valu in New Hamburg. ... Meet Ruby and Ralphy, KSCR newest editions. Ruby on the left has a mouth injury and clearly has upper respiratory infection she's with the doctor at the moment and will be returning back to her foster mom Ralphy on the right is currently in foster care.... Ralphy is 100% healthy They are both approx 10 weeks old, not the same litter. Rescue never ends there always a kitty that needs help

Remember this handsome boy that was secured Sunday? Sadly he passed away this morning. Words cannot describe how upset I am. He was clearly someone's indoor cat, I have peace knowing that he didn't die outside cold and alone. RIP Payton, i wish i got to you sooner.... Tammy

6 kitties are being TNR'd this morning :-) 4 mamas and 2 males. 14 kittens have been secured from this colony and in foster care some have been adopted.... I believe there's three more cats to TNR and then this colony is officially done :-) No more babies for these females :-) now they can enjoy their life. A big thank you to Pete and his wife for reaching out to me for help:-) what's amazing with this lovely couple is they feed these cats every day even though it's not their cats, they keep their garage open so the cats can get shelter and feel comfortable and love:-) What I love about rescue is that i meet earth angels on a regular basis. I am now able to post about this tragic incident that happened today. Stacey came over to my house to have turkey dinner with my family, good laughs, full bellies and it was time for Troopers medication and have his turkey dinner. All of a sudden he went into cardiac arrest in the middle of my living room floor. I scooped him up and ran to the washroom where I laid him on the carpet, I called for Stacey to help me, I had her push on his chest cavity as I gave him mouth to ...mouth. "COME ON TROOPER"!! no response again "Come on Trooper'! Still no response... his eyes glazed over and he was gone What caused him to go into cardiac arrest? I have no idea. Trooper has been in and out of the hospital since he was rescued , first with upper respiratory infection, and then he got better and then all of a sudden he developed pneumonia that he was currently being treated for, he was improving daily so I had no worries at all. It took about an hour for the shock to go away in my system, I was not prepared for this at all. I'm crying as I am typing this post, I'm pretty good at assessing cats and kittens and know if they are going to make a full recovery, Trooper was unexpected, I am so sorry Laurie, I know while you were fostering him that it was love at first sight and you were going to adopt him once he was 100%. I want you to have peace knowing that he experienced love and kindness in the short time he was with us. RIP Trooper xo Tammy

Minnie is still looking for her forever home, she has tested positive for FIV but still can have a loving healthy life. She will require special food as FIV attack the digestive system. If you would like to meet her up close she's at the pet valu on Highland road. She will be there for another week if she doesn't get adopted I will be looking for a foster home for her she will have to be the only cat though.... Tammy

Happy Thanksgiving I am thankful for my health so I can continue saving lives. I'm thankful for my family who supports me in what I am so passionate about. ... Mama finally had her babies!!!! Xoxox One of the vet techs at Huron East Animal Hospital found her couple weeks ago very pregnant and message me right away. Congrats mama on the birth of 5 healthy babies.

This beautiful girl is named Amelia, she's a strong little girl and a fighter. This little girl is tugging at my heartstrings badly. Every time I rescue a cat and kitten I fall in love all over again, I fall in love a thousand times a year :-) I'm hoping for a speedy recovery for this precious little girl.... Much love Tammy
