Voter's Heads Up! Polling stations across Kitchener are experiencing some technical system difficulties, and wait times are a little longer -- most recent update from TheMuseum polling station here in Ward 4 on Homer Watson. I'll add updates in comments as I know more. Please include your polling station news in the comments as well. Computer Systems are tested before every election, but small glitches can happen. Staff are usually able to resolve problems quickly. #KWVotes #KitchenerVotes #Kitchener

My Pledge to You: "I pledge to fight to address the present needs of our communities without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. I will always be available to discuss issues that affect Ward 4 and all of Kitchener with members of our wonderful communities. I'm just a call, text, or email away.... I hope, that Monday October 22, you will take the time to vote Wes Hill -- Kitchener Ward 4 Council. Thank you. How about some fun videos to watch with the kids this weekend? Our area elementary schools have been doing a great job getting the grade 4/5 students engaging with #KWvotes. You might be surprised at just how passionate they are about community and voting. Link for Kid's Page videos: http://weshill4councilkw.com/kids-page-how-government-works/

As I am right this moment, I’ll be out this weekend with my how-to-contact-me business cards alternately door knocking and meeting for coffee to talk with as many of our Ward 4 neighbours as possible. No one has, or will, receive any sort of advertisement type flyer from me I feel that meeting directly with residents is more helpful when it comes to making an informed decision vs a one-size fits all promotion blurb. If anyone needs information, help, or simply wishes to talk and get a sense of who I am all my contact info can be found on my FB campaign page ( @kitchenerward4) and on my web page -- weshill4councilkw.com. Messenger chat is also an option on both. I’m also more than happy to meet with in person, individually or over coffee. Cheers!

After very successful tests in Nova Scotia they are rolling out this initiative everywhere. I for one think this is fantastic and hope more companies follow suit.

Hello Ward 4! Things may not have turned out as I’d hoped --- but it was an amazing ride. I’d like to thank every single person who voted for me, encouraged and supported me. All those who shared what mattered to them at the door when I came by, who called, texted, or emailed me -- thank you. I’ll never forget this experience. As #municipalelection2018 #KWvotes winds down, I’d like to send a sincere thank you shoutout to all the real life superheroes out there. You know who you are. You are the people who care, who engage, who question. The ones who look beyond life’s day to day demands and take part in determining what our community tomorrows will look like. You, who care about making democracy work, and made the time to get out and vote. Thank you:... For inviting me in out of the rain, when I knock on your door to talk about our community. For coming out to the candidate meet and greets For providing forums for civic engagement For asking the hard questions For offering your time, energy and resources For taking the time to discuss the future of our communities with friends, family and neighbours For engaging in any way you could with our democracy. For making democracy work. For voting. To all my fellow candidates: It has been a pleasure campaigning with you all. It has been a great campaign, and I am proud to say that it has been an election campaign filled with courtesy & civility. Cheers! Wes
