Every Child Matters

It’s been a long time since our last post, but with school reopening soon, we will get back into the groove of sharing updates as time permits. We don’t know exactly how Project KITES will look this semester, but we do know that it will continue in some way, shape or form. We also know that Jack is still our KITES child and he will be until we have a chance to plan an online event which will raise funds for CHEO and which will raise awareness for Jack’s condition. You might... remember a former student named Matteo. He was here (from Italy) to study in Canada for a semester. Matteo expressed interest in making the KITES quilt for our then KITES child (Lilly) and he ended up loving the quilting process so much that he made a quilt all by himself when he returned to his home in Italy (see attached photos). Yesterday was Jack’s birthday! He turned 11 years old! We hope that Jack had a fantastic day filled with joy and filled with all of the things that he loves to see and do. ... #projectkites #birthdayboy
