As we prepare for our area to be in the 'red zone' we've made the difficult decision to cancel the March 27th distribution of LAM4Kids bags. We will provide online resources for families and hope to be able to hand out some activities and goodies in the near future.

As the sap begins to flow, we're very sad that we won't be able to gather for our Pancake Breakfasts and Bake Sales. These events are an important part of our fellowship and of our fundraising. This year, we invite you to join us 'virtually' You can find the details in the picture and can download from the link. Spring is almost here, but 'spring forward' comes first. The good news is that with online worship, nobody will notice if you arrive late for the 9AM service

Lent will begin next Wednesday, February 17th. Since we cannot be together in person for our usual worship, we have prepared ash crosses from last year's palms..., on 'sackcloth.' They will be mailed out tomorrow to folks on our member lists for whom we have mailing addresses, so you'll hopefully have them in time for Ash Wednesday. If you're not sure if we have your address and would like to receive a cross, with the accompanying devotion, please send us a private message or call us. In this brief video, we share a portion of the Book of Alternative Services liturgy for Ash Wednesday, including the prayer over the ashes we'll be sending out. Please also join us on Ash Wednesday for online Morning Prayer at 9AM and Evening Prayer at 7PM. See more

Can we ask for your help? It's simple, won't cost you anything and follows COVID-19 health protocols! We would love to get to 100 subscribers for our YouTube ch...annel so we can customize our channel name. "UCZY etc" just doesn't reflect all the awesome content that can be found on our channel and not everyone is comfortable with or trust search engines. Our own channel name would make it easier for others to find Leeds Anglican Ministries' channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZYMAKxAQA1PmdNY7uanaDQ All you need to do is follow the link to our channel and click on SUBSCRIBE. There's no requirement to watch every video - we'll even help you turn off notifications. Thank you for helping us reach this goal so we can reach more people as we continue to offer online worship. Hello everyone, You will no doubt have heard that the Province of Ontario has announced shutdown measures beginning on December 26th. Out of an abundance of ca...ution the Diocese of Ontario is suspending the Diocesan Amber Phase provisions effective December 24th, reverting generally to the provisions of our Red Phase. For Leeds Anglican Ministries this means that in-person worship is discontinued effective immediately, and will not take place until further notice. Our buildings are to remain closed. Online worship, including Christmas Eve at 7PM and Christmas Day at 10AM, will continue. Also, as a special treat, we'll have an online concert on Facebook and Youtube at Noon on Christmas Day featuring some of our talented musicians. For those who had intended to attend in-person worship at Newbliss or Lyndhurst on Christmas Eve, we offer the following provisions -Rev. Nancy will be in the parking lot at Newbliss from 1PM to 2PM on Wednesday, December 23 to offer Communion Under Special Circumstances on a drive-thru basis. There is no need to reserve an appointment for this. - Rev. Trish can be available on December 23 for Communion Under Special Circumstances in the south/west part of our region. Please call her at 613-640-0728 if you would like to avail yourself of Christmas Communion in this way. Sadly, we will not, after Wednesday, be able to get around to people's homes to bring Christmas Communion, as the guidelines note that "in person pastoral care should occur where it is an emergency or essential." If you have a pastoral need, please do not hesitate to contact Rev. Trish or Rev. Nancy and we will do our best in the circumstances. You can find the full Diocesan message here: https://mailchi.mp//a-message-from-bishop-michael-oulton-d In 1st Corinthians 16:14, St. Paul says "Let all that you do be done in love." May love guide us all to take the necessary shutdown measures to once again bring this pandemic under control until vaccines can come to our aid. In Galatians 6:9 he says "let us not grow weary in doing what is right." We have all been through a lot in 2020, and we'll need to persevere in 2021. Know that you all are held closely in prayer and will continue to be so through the days ahead. Our December 27 email will address any matters that may have been neglected here, but please let us know in the meantime if you have any questions. On behalf of Rev Nancy and Rev. Trish, may your celebration of the birth of our Lord bless you with hope, peace, joy and love.
