Besides making great coffee and conversation, community is most important to us, which is why we created our annual tip matching program that directly re-invests back into our community. As you know we don’t accept tips. When a customer chooses to tip 5% that tip is wholly donated and our community partners then match a percentage of donations raised to create a bigger financial contribution and impact to our supporting organizations. This year our customers raised $1,700 ...and with the support of six purpose driven small businesses we have been able to raise a grand total of $5,650.00 which will be split between The David Suzuki Foundation @davidsuzukifdn and Battered Women’s Support Services @endingviolence . Each of these organizations serve and contribute directly to our community in Kitsilano, and they honour and advocate for the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoplesSwxwú7mesh (Squamish), Slilwta/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) and xmkym (Musqueam) peoples. It’s the final weekend This is our final weekend of the 2021 season. Thank you for making this summer awesome. We loved meeting new people, seeing old friends and sharing great conversations while we make you coffee at the beach. Now that Autumn is here those summer heatwaves already feel like so long ago. We miss them and wish it could be July all year. But everything is always changing and the cooler weather means it’s time for us to pack it up and enjoy the change of sea...son. We will still be around the beach all winter so say hi when you see us. In the meantime we’re open Friday and Saturday this weekend, but Sunday looks rained out. Look forward to seeing you this final weekend.
