The reimbursement cheques are ready to go out. They will will be Farmstead Market & More this week for families to pick up. Any that don't get picked up on April 21 by the end of the day will get picked up and mail out. If possible please make arrangements to save on postage! Tonight the board is meeting to discuss how a possible AGM will be held for the spring. Anyone who has interest in holding a board position should email [email protected] ASAP. We thank you all for your patience over this very interesting year, and we are looking forward to hopefully a more normal hockey season in the fall! Have a great spring and summer!!
Parents of KMH - an email has been sent out with regards to the conclusion of the 2020-2021 hockey season. If you have not received, please check your junk mail. If you still haven’t received, please comment below, and it can be forwarded to you! Or you can find on our website: http://www.kitscotyminorhockey.com/article/64512
We the board appreciate your input through the survey! It was a very close call on the survey, but majority was middle of March. Please note: ice and practices will remain as is until March 12th, 2021. If you have any questions or concerns, please direct them to your director or to a board member!
KMH families, we would appreciate it if you took the time to check your emails and answer the Survey sent out to you! Your feedback is important, as to the direction we will go for the remainder of the 2020-2021 season.
An email has been sent out to all members... but FINALLY the news we have all been wanting... we can hit the ice!!! YES there are restrictions, but thankfully we can get the kiddos a couple more skates!!! Please note the arena has guidelines (as per AHS) as well: masks mandatory, only one parent/guardian/spectator per child on the ice (no siblings), and keeping 6 feet distance per household (signage is up at the rink). Directors/Coaches/Managers will be in touch with your teams over the weekend! But here is the updated schedule.
We were hopeful for a day... a start or indefinite stop date... we all want to know when.... unfortunately AHS has not provided us with any CONCRETE answers! We are still hopefully for some sort of season to finish the year... as of right now, we don’t have answers... we WISH we did! As a KMH member, please know the board is aware of your concerns.... we have heard return to play and potential refunds/credits, further discussion is needed and decisions will be made as direction is received from Alberta Hockey, Alberta Heath Services and our Alberta government.
We have been receiving A LOT of questions... here is an update from Hockey Alberta. We promise we will keep you as updated as we are! As we enter a new year, Hockey Alberta remains focused on working with government officials to develop a plan that will permit teams to return to practice, game play and keep our youth active for their physical and mental well-being. Working with League representatives at each level of hockey we hope to be able to salvage the season. I understand the challenges in planning the remainder of the season and communicating with your members with such uncertainty but we will continue to be open and transparent as we await an update on the current government restrictions.
If we can’t play... at least we can watch! Hopefully some news of return to play soon
PHOTOS and FUNDRAISING tickets are in and sorted!! Apparel will be ready next week, and we will make arrangements to get to families. Someone will be parked at the rink with the photos & tickets from 2:30-6:00 TOMORROW (Thursday the 10th). After that arrangements can be made for pick up! We appreciate ALL your understanding and support through all of the changes this year! You families are amazing, and we thank you as we navigate this crazy year!

KMH - Ice Availability Change of plans... things are always changing... and this time it is a positive one! We’ve got ice available to KMH members at a super discounted rate... FREE. The ice will be available to Non-KMH members at a rate of $50/hour. ... In fairness to all members, we will allow each family (should they choose), to utilize one of the ice slots available. If you want to secure a second, it will be at the rate of $50/hour, or you may choose to add your name to the request ice list for short term cancelations, or open ice availability. You will be able to text for available ice slots: 780-205-7842 (Ashley Bexson) or visit the website to see what ice slots are open. **Reminder, this applies to single household rentals, as per AHS rules - only those of your immediate family are permitted to be in the arena during your booking** ANYONE violating the household rule, will be asked to leave the premises immediately, and the case will be reviewed by the KMH board, and Arena board. We are NOT expecting any violations, as none of us want any sort of benefits taken away from us.
Starting tomorrow (Monday, Dec 7th) rentals will be available @ $50/hour. Please text 780-205-7842 with your name and the day that you would like. Feel free to request a time as well. This will be a bit of a learning curve so your flexibility will be appreciated! Please know that at they discounted rate, you are not guaranteed to have clean ice, but we don’t expect the ice to be dirty enough to clean all the time. Also please ensure you clean the dressing rooms after each use. We will see how this all goes, we know that you will all respect the facility, and the rules. We don’t want to have to shut down this option - we’ve all dealt with enough closures and shutdowns
Good Morning! Looking for input!! Please comment Yah or Nah... We have got permission from the Arena (they did their checks)... and we are able to rent the ice... now, with the rules in place, it has to be household rentals only, and we are thinking of a reduced rate to encourage the ice being used. $50/hour for the time being (until things open up again).... Again, it can only be your specific household (no extra friends, etc)... is this something the community/individuals would be interested in? Rumour has it we’ve got lots of open ice options
