Wouldn't you enjoy being involved in something like this? :-)
Ten (10) more days to upload videos to WeVu!
Here’s to when we can play with our friends again (via Jojo Yan)
The registration deadline of February 3 is fast approaching without a late payment fee which will allow registration until February 10th. Don't delay. Register today! After the 3rd you'll have to pay. My attempt at poetry Is weak today. :-)
This is long but well worth watching!
Looking forward to holidays? Let this creative presentation give you some cheer!
For our 2021 festival we will be virtual, using videos uploaded. Please watch for more details. During the COVID pandemic some festival classes have been omitted for 2021 in our effort to encourage safe health practices. Please note there will be no registrations accepted for the following classes in ALL disciplines: duets, trios, quartets, ensembles, piano duos, and choirs. Piano concerti will be accepted. For those hoping for recommendation to the provincial festival (OMFA...) please consult their syllabus for specific instructions. Accompaniments necessary for solo performances may be recorded or in person. If a person from outside the home is the collaborative pianist we expect all involved in the recording of the video to follow local COVID protocols which may include face masks and shields and physical distancing to reduce the risks of transmission. Not all of these changes are reflected in the syllabus PDFs. This announcement overrides some items in both the General Rules and the Syllabi. Now is the time to view the syllabus, select music and practice. Registration will open on November 26, 2020. When registering please use an active and legitimate email address and add [email protected] to your address book so emails from the festival do not go to your spam. Information will follow regarding submission of videos. Although we have to follow a very different format, we look forward to carrying on with our local Kiwanis Music Festival.
Doesn't this look like fun?
Please tell us what category this instrument should enter for the music festival.
Did you know that in 1953 the Kiwanis Music Festival was thrilled to distribute 17 trophies and $1887? My goodness, how things have grown!
Here’s a little musical COVID humour to give you a major smile! Nothing minor about this post.
A spring offering from the musicians at the Windsor Symphony Orchestra to brighten your day. "Mercury was the winged messenger of the gods, and our message to ...you is that we at the Windsor Symphony Orchestra continue to be resilient, and we anticipate seeing you soon again soon on stage at the Capitol Theatre." - WSO Musicians For more information about the #WSOatHome initiatives, visit: http://www.windsorsymphony.com/wso-at-home
For those who have been thinking about this...
