We celebrate the many competitors, music teachers and accompanists of the 55th Annual North Bay Kiwanis Music Festival. Voice, Piano and Strings will be performing virtually this year!

For immediate release. 2021 North Bay Kiwanis Music Festival 55th annual includes Voice, Strings and piano competitors performing virtually ~ submission deadline approaches The North Bay Kiwanis Music Festival will be held this year, and it will be virtual ! ... Everything is being done by way of video recordings. Of course, this is opposite to the usual required practice, where recording was prohibited. This will give the kids a great memento and reward for their long hours of practice Notwithstanding the challenges of these times, we have a total of 186 entries, Vocal is 20 entries Strings is 41 entries Piano is 125 entries While down from 227 in 2019, everyone involved is excited that it was not cancelled, as it had to be in 2020. The submission deadline for piano and voice is this Friday April 16. For strings, it is May 14. Videos have been arriving via email and shared to google drive. Everyone is following instructions to the letter and sending in quality videos that fall within the guidelines and rules. It is so impressive to see these (mostly) kids performing so well, and rising above the challenges this format obviously presents. These are also brand new experience for our three amazing adjudicators. They have all expressed a willingness to work with us and to give the performers an amazing experience. Students will receive comments from adjudicators, a standing of Gold, Silver or Bronze, a certificate and ribbon as in previous years. There will likely be three Finale Concert videos, one for each discipline, featuring the recordings from the award winners. These will be available for the public to view !
