1) Take action to protect the planet. 2) Take a picture and tag it. 3) Then take a big sip of the Cafe Etico organic coffee you just won as part of an Earth Day Seeding Change 2021 prize package! ... Thanks to our friends at Cafe Etico who have donated some of their fair-trade, organic coffee, along with Camino fair-trade, organic chocolate. Did you know that Cafe Etico’s coffee is bird friendly? Rather than clearing large areas of land to grow coffee, the farmer cooperatives they work with grow organically under a canopy of shade trees. This sustainable farming practice protects bio-diversity which is good for the birds and the planet! Cafe Etico pay coffee farmers beyond the minimum fair-trade base price. And, as a social enterprise of CoDevelopment Canada, a BC based non-profit, 100% of their profits support human rights and their work with grassroots organizations in Latin America! You can learn more about our Hastings Sunrise neighbours and check out their online store at https://www.etico.ca/ Amanda Suutari Art and Design Fresh Roots Urban Farm Society #EarthDaySeedingChange2021
