Standing at the bottom of a mountain and staring up to the top of it can be quite terrifying. It’s so high, so far away, it’s going to take a lot of energy and effort to reach its peak. But then you say to yourself that it’s going to be so beautiful to see those views, that you will feel so proud of yourself for doing it. So you start that climb. You take one step at a time. You navigate each section as you go. You rest as needed and you keep moving forward. ... And just like that despite how high it seemed, how far away the top was, regardless of how many times you had to rest along the way, you’ve made it! The views are as beautiful as you imagined them to be! Life is that like that climb. One step forward every day. Choose to see every challenge as an upward climb to a beautiful view. Navigate each section, rest as you need it, but always reach for the top! Happy Monday!!!! Keep climbing. You ARE worth it!!!
Hmmmm....still thinking about getting active? Aren’t sure where to start? Feeling like you’re too out of shape to begin? These are all normal feelings. ... Start with a low intensity workout! Crank up the tunes to get you motivated! Pick something you enjoy doing! Grab a buddy to inspire you! The only thing worse than starting off slow is not starting at all! YOU ARE WORTH IT!
It’s Sunday funday! Time to prep for the week ahead. Why meal prep?! Here’s why..... Life can be busy enough without the headache of needing to decide what you’re going to eat and then find the time to shop for it and prepare it. If you’re anything like me and tight for time, you end up grabbing from the closest take out spot or end up calling a bowl of cereal dinner if you’re not organized in advance. A few extra hours in your week can really help keep your nutrition goals ...on track. If you can schedule in a meeting or have time to catch your fave Netflix series, you have time to prepare some of your meals. Then when it’s time to eat, open that fridge and enjoy a delicious, nutritionally balanced meal, not frosted flakes! So make a list, get what you need, schedule yourself a window of time and keep it simple! Frozen green beans, sliced sweet potatoes and air fryer chicken is on my meal menu today! You are worth it!
I posted this last year on this exact date never expecting it to still ring true. I thought I’d share again! Day 4072 of quarantine. I’m sure my numbers are a little off but it sure feels like that long..... If you’re feeling anything like me, your mind is in a constant state of a mental fuck (sorry about the language). Days are long, days can be lonely, sleeps are restless. We are disconnected from laughter, touch, our usual hellos as we stand in line for our morni...ng coffee. You have settled into a new routine of some sort but mostly just to help ease anxiety and find some sort of balance. You may have started some wonderful new practices (yoga, meditation, long walks, art, music). You may have picked up a few bad habits (being overally snacky, late bedtimes, lots of extra Netflixing). While we will no doubt be able to find ourselves again when we begin easing out of quarantine back to what we once knew, it’s important to keep feeding ourselves and others with love, kindness, patience and support. Here’s a few self check-in questions I found for you to use when journaling or just needing a moment during the day to think about your purpose. Sending love and light! Happy hump day!!!! Just think 3 mores days until the weekend! Thanks for all of the wonderful well wishes! I am at home resting comfortably from surgery. A little sore and a little wired (but that’s what happens when you put the energizer bunny on bedrest lol). Just a reminder there is no class Wednesday or Saturday and I will post next weeks schedule on Sunday!

I’m definitely feeling the stress burn this morning as we prepare for another lockdown. As a small business owner it’s hard to wrap my head around yet another setback, but I continue to remind myself things can only go up. I’ve worked hard, I’ve hustled. I built me, I built Kjgroupfitness from the ground up and I will stay the course. Sending nothing but positive vibes to all of you that get it, feel it. We are all in this together!!! ... Saturday bootcamp is on at 8:30am and Easter Monday Bootcamp is on at 6:30pm. Let’s get hopping! DM for the links!!!! Grateful for my amazing tribe!!!
