Overnighters/transients:. The safety of our Klahanie Kamping family has always been Garry and Brenda's #1 priority. For the health, happiness and safety of our Klahanie family and to limit the spread of Covid, we have decided NOT to open the campground to overnighters, transients or month long bookings. This will not change. In addition we will not be renting overnight 3way sites as seasonal. Klahanie Kamping will be a seasonal only campground for the 2020 season. We love our overnighters! We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We hope you have a safe, heathy and happy 2020 season.

Good day Klahanie Kampers, Recently, there has been an easement of some restrictions for the province. One of these is "bubble families". All campgrounds are under a NO VISITOR policy stated by provincial update on May 5/2020. Dr. Strang and Premier McNeil stated: "There will be a no-visitor policy put in place while Social distancing is in effect for all occupants (which means: only the immediate family registered to the site will be authorized to enter the park: mother, ...father and their childrens) Only individuals with the same civic address can enter the park". The bubble is not for campground tenants, it's only for family members visiting their residence: ei: their home. At this time, that does mean there are NO grandchildren, children, parents, friends/family allowed in the park. Hopefully in the coming weeks that will change. Hello fellow Kampers. It saddens our hearts that the camping season may not happen or may be delayed. At this time, we are not taking any future reservations until further notice. Any reservations made previously have been cancelled. If/and when the camping season begins, we will update you and open reservation bookings once more.... We miss you and hope to see you soon.

At this time, we are waiting waiting waiting. No direction has been given from the province as to what private campgrounds can/cannot do. There is a meeting next week that will hopefully answer all our questions (fingers crossed) as many of the campground owners are muddling through so close to the start of the season. As soon as we know, campers will know also. Thank you for your patients. We’re trying to get as much info as we can to make the best decision for the campers, employees and the campground safety.

Hello Klahanie Kampers! There have been some updates in our province recently that leaves the questions of... What about camping? At this time National Parks in Canada/Nova Scotia are closed until further notice. As a private campground, we have not been given direction on if we need to close to the public. The camping associations are meeting in the next couple of weeks. We will keep you updated on the status of the 2020 camping season as we are informed.... Keep safe, keep health . Our hearts and thoughts are with all our camping families.
