Here is a little overview over the Equine Acupressure. I would like to introduce you the horse types according to the 5 Elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water. These are the "symptoms" when the horses are out of balance. ... Wood: aggressive behavior, easily upset, takes advantage of rider's mistakes, picks fights, sore muscles/ back pain, even tendon problems, impatient, pouty Fire: easily irritable, tending to panicking, hurts himself in that process, reacts thoughtlessly Earth: clumsy, slow, drooping belly, introvert, overweight, chronic swollen hind legs, not motivated Metal: getting sick from being overworked and dullness, emotionlessness, rider needs to pay attention to the horse's health because the Metal horse always gives his best even though he is not feeling well Water: vulnerable confidence, overanxious, spooky, shy, when being punished gets confused, doesn't wait for the rider's cues, assumes to know what is asked from him. Example: lunge line gets hooked on halter/bridle and the horse goes out on the circle, runs round after round after round even though the handler didn't give him the cue for that. There can also be mixed types Earth-Wood, Wood-Metal and Earth-Water. If you recognize your horse in one of these element descriptions it is advised to get the horse treated.
