The Ontario Government recently released a report on how to strengthen early years & child care in the province - with some fascinating conclusions! One of their strongest commitments was to update staffing qualifications to support workforce retention. "...Child and Youth Workers, teachers, Recreation and Leisure Specialists and other qualified professionals with the right level of experience could all act as strong leaders for school-aged children in licensed child care." On behalf of the entire team at KLC, we want to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving! This year we are thankful for our incredible staff who adapted so quickly to ensure seamless learning. We're thankful for our students who pivoted to virtual classes and entrusted us to ensure their education would remain at the highest quality regardless of the disruptions. And most of all, we're thankful for the incredible frontline workers such as nurses, doctors, EMTs, and everyone who spends their time to ensure we all have a better quality of life.

Is it just us, or does this year’s Online Learning Day feel more relevant than ever? KLC managed to adapt quickly to government restrictions for everyone’s health and safety, so our classes are now offered as a mix of virtual and on-campus when required. We can’t wait to see all of our students back in classrooms, but until it’s safe, we’re grateful for technology allowing us to provide our hands-on programs online!
