Camping in the fall can be a challenge. Especially with little ones. But it doesn't have to be complicated, just well planned. The biggest worry we have in cooler weather is ensuring the nights remain warm. We bring separate socks, mitts and toques for night time sleeping. Along with cold weather sleeping bags (ours are good to -40) everyone sleeps well. We also camp in a tipi-tent so there is plenty of room for a heater, or wood stove if so desired. This year we did a group camp, three adults and 9 children. The fall colours in the mountains were well worth the trip!
