AJ Emms Carries OSCAAR Point Lead into Sunset Velocity Weekend ORILLIA, ON - OSCAAR Modified Tour championship hopeful AJ Emms will unload at Sunset Speedway fo...r this weekend’s Ironman 72 event with a comfortable 50-point lead in the tour’s standings. However, despite the significant cushion separating his team's from their closest pursuers, Emms knows that his program does not have the luxury of unloading with anything less than their best for Saturday and Sunday’s twin 36-lap races. It’s a big deal to roll into a weekend like this with the points lead - but it doesn’t guarantee you anything more than a bit of an boost, said Emms. This division is fascinating because it never stops evolving. Guys are constantly pushing the envelope and figuring out new ways to go fast, so you never really have the chance to put things into cruise control The teams we’re racing with are doing all that they can to chase us down (in the standings), continues the the Orilla racer. The Velocity, as a whole, is a huge deal to everyone, and it’s even more important for us (OSCAAR Modified teams) because of the format and the fact that we race a full feature on both nights This is the time of the season where guys are going to make sure you’re scratching and clawing for position if you’re trying to make a pass on them, adds Emms. Nobody’s pulling over for us this weekend. But, contending for a win at the Velocity is a huge deal for us and I’m real confident in the setup package we’ll be unloading with on Saturday morning.

The Ontario Outlaw Super Late Model Series raced at Peterborough Speedway last night for the only stop there in 2019. For the #22 team, to put it lightly, it wa...snt a great day, it happens, move forward to next week. A third and fourth in the heats had Glenn starting from the 7th spot in the feature. The car was tight right from the drop of the green, with an early caution Glenn brought the #22 down pit road for some adjustments. Once under green Glenn got back up to the 5th spot but with an ill handling car it was a handful to keep it there. In the closing laps the #03 snuck by for the 5th position, we left Peterborough in one piece and 6th place finish, not the day we wanted but we will be ready next week. Congratulations John Cadman and the #71 team on your feature win tonight, that thing was a rocket!! And also great run Stu Robinson Jr in the 40p, great to see you back, fantastic job tonight!!
