Kirkland Lake Region Injured Workers Group 27.04.2021

Hi all, hope you are all doing well during these crazy times. Covid has hit us all, in some way or another. Our group is adapting to change and is doing well. If you are seeing this you are considered a member in good standing at the Kirkland Lake Region Injured Workers Group and are entitled to vote at our Annual General Meeting (AGM) The attached documents serve as our notice of our AGM, the agenda, and the draft minutes of our last AGM which must be approved by members a...nd the board of directors, as always we wish to thank our board and past members of our board, without whom the group could not operate. Last year we assisted and served 907 injured workers during a pandemic year. In order to continue operations we need to have an AGM. Unfortunately due to Covid we cannot meet to do so. We urge all members to vote today, to help us stay open and continue to assist yourselves and new members. How to Vote: A simple email reply with your vote on each of the agenda items will suffice or You can indicate in an email you give us the proxy vote to vote on your behalf or fill out the form and send it back. If you or someone you know would be interested in helping on our board please let us know. We are always looking to make our community better by helping those around us. Please visit and like our Facebook page ( Kirkland Lake Region Injured Workers Group), if you have time. We use this platform to educate our community, so check in every once and awhile to check it out. Thank you for your continued support, stay safe. File Request Form: Often decisions are made with out the medical or important information to ensure a proper decision is made by WSIB. You can ensure that WSIB has the information needed by requesting a copy of your file. In your file you can see conversations with WSIB, forms, medical documents, return to work documents, appeal etc.... Once you have time to review your file, you can then ensure the information is there that is missing or communicate a clarification if you see something that is not right. It allows you to ask the right questions. It's your right to get your file and if you have an active claim request it often to keep your copy up to date. You can find the file request form on the WSIB website under forms. WSIB is moving to online files so you may see this as well. Currently not files all are available online. If you're not sure or can't find it give us a call or email us and we can send you one. Our contact information is 705-567-3638 or email at [email protected] https://www.wsib.ca//doc/2019-01/accesp_2144a_11_12_fs.pdf
