12.5 years ago, we lost this amazing woman to a 18 month battle with brain cancer( my mom) Her husband had kept her ashes and told everyone he will put her in the cemetery at a later date and then he basically disappeared. We couldn't seem to find him. I called cemeteries for years, messaged and called friends of hers, trying to find out where her ashes may be. Well, after a long 12 years of searching, I FINALLY found her ashes! I get them this evening. I can't explain ho...w happy I am to finally be able to have her and more than likely place her where she wanted to be, with her father. This is why the contest is delayed. I was over the moon and didn't want to spend time doing that last night and since I'm getting her ashes this evening, I might just wait until tomorrow. Have you heard my story? How I became the bear lady . Roughly 6 years ago, a friend asked on Facebook "can someone make these". She posted a photo of a sleeper that was turned into a bear!. At the time I was a stay at home mom that loved doing crafts and I said... I'll give it a shot! I've never sewn before, I literally had one piece of fabric (the first bear) I had a needle, some old thread and tore apart a stuffy for stuffing. I searched online for a while until I found a... bear that I liked. I then made one. As you can see, it was far from perfect but it was good enough for me to think I could possibly do it so I went out and bought my first sewing machine, made a couple with the machine, posted them online and its been a non stop list of orders since this day! The second bear was my "famous" bear. I was on the radio/in the news with that one!!! The 3rd and 4th is when I started to get more creative with them. I love what I do and I wouldn't be hear without you guys!!!

Absolutely love the unicorn! The moose and hooded bear are totally awesome as well!. The unicorn and moose are for the cutest little boy and girl who asked me to make these for them from their dads sweaters Heartbreaking! I hope these bring them comfort and feel their dad close to them.

Sorry! Long but important! I have always tried to be fair with my prices but with some recent changes in my life and with the cost of everything going up, in order to keep going and provide for my family, I need to make some changes. The regular keepsakes (animals and pillows) will go up in price on June 1st. Small animals will be $50 Medium will be $55... Large will be $60. Pillows will be $30. The 4 or more keepsake discount will still be available. Any order that I physically have here before June 1st, will be the old price. Any new orders picked up after that day, will be new prices. So get your orders in!!! Drawing stuffies, these will still be priced per photo (some are easier than others so they are priced by supplies needed and details ) Most times I was charging $45-50. Not sure what I was thinking because 1 drawing can take up to 2 days, they are made from a rather expensive fabric and they are quite big. So that average price of 45-50 , will be closer to $80. But again, I won't charge $80 for a cloud drawing . Price change also on the weighed animals. These average around 65-70. They will now be $90(any weight and length. No longer per pound) and $10 for embroidery Remember, the more detailed clothing you give me, the more details that will be on your keepsake! I know sometimes this is hard but its something to think of when sending clothing. If it is already on the item of clothing, I usually don't charge extra. The extra fee is usually for when the bear is getting added accessories like a bear wearing a dress or a bear wearing a vest etc. Feel free to share!. Let's get those orders in before June 1st! *As always, Payment isn't required until they are complete.

WANT KEEPSAKES BEFORE CHRISTMAS?! I need your help! I could never explain how much I love this dog. He will be 10 in January but sadly, hes not going to make it to 10. He has been very sick so we went to the vet and he either has cancer or failing organs by the sounds of it. We do more tests tomorrow. The meds hes on is not helping so we know what's coming.... It seems like every Christmas something bad happens in our family and this time we will have to say goodbye to our buddy boy. With this comes a rather large bill from a after hours visit, tests, meds and then the final step. I'm not one to ask for money and not give anything in return and I know a LOT of you want keepsakes for Christmas so I was thinking that I will give up one of my couple pre Christmas vacation days to make some. How someone would get that would be by buying tickets and winning.
