UPDATE! KMBL Newly formed Executive... Allow us to introduce our 2021 KMBL Executive......... Commissioner - Rob Law Vice-Commissioner - Jeff Bligh Players Rep - John Slattery Administrator - Chris Miller Umpire In Chief - Blaise Laveay Treasurer - Matt Nye We would like to take this opportunity to let you know what we are currently pursuing. At the moment we are trying to secure our non-profit status, which takes some time and we will keep you posted on any new developments. We are developing our Constitution and having a lawyer review and have it notarized. Our website is currently under construction and should be finished in the next couple of weeks. You can watch it being constructed by going to kelownamensbaseball.ca. With player numbers growing every day, there is a possibility of a 5th team in our league for the 2021 season. We have a schedule in place and it consists currently of an 18 game schedule based on 4 teams. More information to follow as we receive player intel. We are currently in talks with The Yardhouse to secure some cage/field time to allow our KMBL members an opportunity to train before the season. This will begin in March and we are looking at one or two days a week for a couple of hours each session based on availability from the The Yardhouse. There will be a nominal fee per player for these sessions, but we will have more information in the next week once we have finalized with The Yardhouse. You will see our Executive use the word "Member" often in emails and correspondence because, as a "Member" of the KMBL, you will have a voice in improving our League, rule changes and voting in your Executive every year at our AGM. The KMBL will be a players league first and we will look to you to help the KMBL become it's best version. In our conversations with many of you, this league should have been started years ago and here is our opportunity together to make it happen. Your executive has years of experience and will be here to support you and by looking at the names on this list, you may recognize some of them and some you may not, but know this, they have baseball running through their blood and will be very passionate about this league. KMBL Update Baseball fans the overwhelming response to our new league, well it is nothing less than extraordinary. We have exceeded what we thought and for sure will have 4 teams in our inaugural season. We could use more to round out our numbers per team or possibly add a fifth team.
