Will I be good enough? Will I make it? What if I fail? What if they think I’m a fraud? Every part of me is screaming to run and quit...but then I don’t. I miss the feeling of going to grade 1 with messy hair and not having a care about appearances. I miss the excitement of turning 10 -double digits finally. I hadn’t realized that being a girl, the older you got meant more eyes on you. I miss leaving the house to play with friends and not being worried if I’d return home -not being worried if that man that’s been walking behind you is just going the same way or has other intentions.
