H.A.A.A. Renewal Plan This pandemic has highlighted the importance of our public parks. Amid travel restrictions, our parks and public spaces have offered us r...oom to roam and avoid complete isolation. Kirkendall’s HAAA is set for some upgrades and the city of Hamilton is asking for your input. Great parks are welcoming places for people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds. We would like to hear from you and learn from your experience and how you think the park could be improved. The first of several opportunities to hear a project introduction and to provide initial community feedback on the future upgrades to the HAAA will take place online in February. Choose either February 4 at 7:30 PM or February 6 at 10:30 AM. Both sessions are online and require pre-registration. https://www.maureenwilson.ca/haaa_mtg1 We are using the Zoom platform to host the meetings. This allows for connecting by computer or telephone. No camera is required. If you need assistance registering or would like to have a practice run with the free app connect with the Ward 1 office and we will schedule a test run with you. Email [email protected] or call 905-546-2416.

It is a busy time at Mission Services, as we prepare for the holiday season, the increased need in the upcoming winter months, and the additional community nee...ds driven by the pandemic. As always, we are blown away by the compassionate and dedicated support of our community. Here are some of this week's donation highlights! Darlene ran a Neighbourhood Drive. Derek from St Clair Church collected winter gear. Columbia International College held a clothing and hygiene drive. Hart Department Stores donated toys for the toy room. Curly Willow Floral Boutique made a monetary donation. McMaster TMG Ways of Caring collected donations in support of women at Willow's Place. Kirkendall Neighbourhood Association dropped off a wonderful monetary and food donation. Nicole held a holiday drive! Jason, a former volunteer, has dropped off toys for the toy room and dropped off food today. Even though he couldn’t volunteer he wanted to support! A local daycare collected and donated items to women at Willow's Place. Toques from the Heart donated beautiful knitted hats last week.
